4 years of research and testing. That’s a long time. I’ve been juggling for over 40 years, and I know how a prop is supposed to feel in your hands. It should immediately feel natural, like it wants to be thrown and caught. Before I could offer a professional series of juggling balls, I needed to be sure it would not just feel right in your hand but hold up to years of abuse. This is that ball.
For decades manufacturers have experimented with many types of fabrics and synthetic leathers. Even the best poly vinyl eventually breaks down in 3-4 years and starts to peel. But high-quality polyurethane (PU), a relatively new technology, stood up to this juggler’s high numbers practice for 4 solid years, with no sign of pealing or breaking down!
And as icing on the cake, in order to give the ball the right feel when it lands, these balls are built with an inner stretch-lycra liner to contain the fill material. This keeps the round shape and prevents any material from ever leaking out through the seams, a known problem with filled juggling balls.
What makes these balls a true “trainer” is the lightweight fill. This line of ball uses millet seed in the core, the lightest sturdy fill available.
